What If Money Was No Object? What Do I Desire?
I just had to add this to my site. It needed to be done. An old friend posted it today on Facebook and I was so happy when I watched it… shouting at my computer screen…
“Yes!…It’s trueeeee, why don’t more people understand!?”
…and similar things. Let’s dissect a little…
What would you like to do if money were no object? How would you really enjoy spending your life?
Why the fuck did nobody ask me this when I was a child? Or in school? Why is the world so messed up that not one person in the thousands that I’ve met couldn’t ask me this?
I urge anyone who does have someone younger or older even, who looks up to them for guidance, to ask these questions. If they don’t know the answer, that’s fine. I still don’t really. But to be asked a question that is without such restriction… that is a beautiful thing. I can only imagine that sadly, many of the people who do know the answer are confident it’s a pipe dream, and won’t ever pursue the life they want.
“Well, we’d like to be painters, we’d like to be poets, we’d like to be writers but as everybody knows you can’t earn any money that way.”
Is this really the way it is? Has the world become so much of a struggle that the common man can’t be himself, and must be forced into a lifestyle they despise, just in order to stay alive?
Is it really this way though? Or is this just the way the minority have tailored, bent and manipulated the world to become for the majority? I follow enough lifestyle designers and similar like-minded entrepreneurs who have broken out of the day-to-day hell-hole most of us live in, to understand that it’s possible. And that anything and everything is possible. Yet, why is it I’m laughed at or criticized when trying to show others that this world can be built around me.
People just don’t understand. The world can easily bend around me without breaking, I however, can’t bend around the world without breaking. The majority don’t know this until they’re already broken. – Michael Charalambous

9 Months In, 3 Months Out
In 2012 I managed to spend 3 whole months out of the UK, where I’m currently based. This was a huge achievement for me. As I told myself at the start of the year I should be able to spend at least 1 month doing what I like for every 3 months I work my arse off – *hears a round of applause*… a-thank you, a-thank you *bows*.
Here’s the thing, there’s always a thing, it feels good, and I look back and see such an amazing year. But, I still feel like I’m not living those times enough. They are few and far between. I’m thinking this year maybe it should be an equal split? That’s fair right? Equal. For every 6 months of hard work I should be able to spend at least 6 months exploring the world, or sitting around at home doing nothing if I chose.
Anyway, in light of my personal achievement in 2012; I’ve decided to start this year with a blast from the past post including all the awesome places I worked from in 2012. This is largely inspired by Sean’s post over at location 180 so don’t hate me for stealing the idea! In order of travel throughout the year… read more…
Some Valuable Notes I Took from the Content Marketing Show
So yesterday (21st November 2012) my business partner and I took a little trip to Conway Hall, Holborn in London to attend the Content Marketing Show – which was pretty awesome.
Zazzle Media were kind enough to invite us so we could eat two meals on one plate; does that work? Sure is more enjoyable than killing two birds – something we definitely didn’t do… anyway. We had a great meeting with the Zazzle team brainstorming and coming up with some quality ideas on how to take our business further and really expand on our LiveCasino.co.uk, Roulette.co.uk and LiveRoulette.co.uk brands. So that was excellent and more importantly, productive! I also saw a lot of old colleagues from several different agencies. It’s amazing how small the digital marketing world is; yet somehow still as saturated as my porn collection? Too far? I’m in a strange mood. But that’s not what I’m here to write about…
So I took down a whole load of notes from the guest speakers, a few of which stood out tremendously with such a fire and confidence about them. That aside I took down valuable notes from each of the speakers and figured I’d just throw you guys just a small selection of the points I found most useful and inspiring. Some of it is so basic you’d think… read more…
CouchSurfing.org – Great People, Great Reasons, Great Idea
Scars heal, glory fades. And all we’re left with are the memories made! Pain hurts, but only for a minute. Your life is short so go on and live it… because the chicks dig it!
Over the last year or two I’ve got right into country music – mainly because of a friend who forced me into it. But that’s beside the point, I chose the lyrics above because I think they apply to a lot of things in my life personally (minus the end haha); and also this post. So hopefully you guys will learn a little bit about me here too.
p.s the first person to comment the singers name of the lyrics above will get 5 free SEO related tips on how to improve their website ;)

My Couch
So What’s All This CouchSurfing?
The website says… “A volunteer-based worldwide network connecting travelers with members of local communities, who offer free accommodation and/or advice.”
I think that’s a HUGE understatement.
CouchSurfing.org is the social network of, and not subject to, travelers. People who want to explore, people who want to find themselves, who want to go on adventures, who want to hear cool stories from across the world, who want to do good by helping someone out, who want to meet new people and not just get in their pants – let’s be honest most social sites are based around sex if we look deeper… read more…
Exact Match Domains… Because They’re Worth It!
…like what I did there? Didn’t get it? Wooooosssshhhh… (that’s the sound of it flying right over your head). Jokes.
Pissed! Let’s be honest, pissed! If like me, you’re a forward thinker, an opportunist, someone who finds a way through, grabs something by the balls and really goes for it. Then you’ll probably agree that this exact match domain update is pretty annoying. You may also be pissed off about the fact that your website, rightly or wrongly has been demoted in Google’s search results.
However, if you are like me you won’t mind too much either because when your website doesn’t drop, and still succeeds, it shows you’re a badass marketer and know your shit!

Digital Acronyms: Understanding The Jargon

Right, what? Ha, yeah I know! Basically I decided over the years I’ve had to adapt to so many different words which have now been lodged in my brain. In marketing and especially SEO, plus from running a business, I’ve learnt so many different acronyms for all that jargon you may not understand as a noob. I thought, well a large portion of my readers are quite new to this ole’ game so I’ll help them out, and give them something to refer to if they need it. Yep, that’s you guys I’m talking about!
To the point, without further ado; a large list of all the acronyms I could think of…
